Prepone And Postpone

A few days back, when I was casually thinking over the words and their meanings, I came to know that there is no word in English language like prepone and postpone. Quiet confused? But yes, it is absolutely true that the word postpone which we use fluently rather phenomenally in our day to day life, has its no actual existence. No, Neither in British English, nor in American English.

Not convinced?

Let me give you a more clear conception about it:

'Pre' and 'Pone' are suffixes. The rule and regulations which every language has, and so English has too, and the grammar says that suffix and prefix can only be added to a word that has its actual existence. Just for example, prenoon and postnoon. Here, noon has its existance in English. But, to make the word prepone and postpone, 'pone' word should first exist in English. Is there any word like 'pone' that we have heard while reading English? No, so how can we make these words avoiding all the complexities of grammar?

But I would like to remind you here, English is the language of exceptions. Although not accepted by British as well as American English, this word is fluently used by both the verses. Actually, these words are the inventions of Indians English. Our writers, poets, novelists have shown their great influence in the field of language and literature and that is why Indian English is so widely accepted all over the world.

Don't Take English For Granted!!!

English is considered to be the most widely read language in world. Every fifth person of this world is well familiar with this crazy language. Perhaps, it contains the largest vocabulary about 02 billion words. Prose  plays, dramas, fiction, couplets etc, these all beautiful shine of this widely read language make it a valuable one.

But the craze of this crazy language doesn't stops here. The way/style of reading and writing also minds here.

Here We Go:

Boxing rings are square, blood doesn't become sugar in blood sugar. If an Indian Pig from India, why not a Guinea Pig from Guinea?

Perhaps, all English superstars should be sent for an asylum. What is the use of that Hamburger in which there is no Ham? Sweat Meats are Candy and Sweet Potatoes are not Sweet. The name of meat refreshes my mood but these fools, call them candy. If potatoes are not sweet that what's the use of the name sweet potato?

Have Feet that Smell and Noses that Run! If a man is Human than what is Batman, He-man, Spider-man and all? If Vegetarians eat Vegetables, what do Humanitarians eat? If the going gets tough, the tough gets going, than what is the use of that going? It's worthless! Why do a Good Guy and Good Man differ from? Is there any Ice in an Ice Cream? Why don't they call it as a Cold Cream? But no, cold cream's are the lotion use to protect our face in winter!

If the 't' and 'i' are not of same size, than why it is said that " Cut your 't' and dot your 'i' , otherwise your 't' will become'l' and 'i' will become 'e' " ?

Every language has a sort of complications and its own royalty. It is up to us how to practice and enhance the brightness of the language at every stage. Perfectly it has been said "Practice Makes A Man Perfect And Complete". Don't take it as the TVC of Raymond's - A Complete Man. ;-)

My Love For Physics

Yes, everyone would become a bit confused that even being a student of mathematics (as it is my main subject), I love physics. And this has some specific reasons as well. According to the present scenario and my personal observation, everything we do or even pretend to do, involves physics behind it.

Take an example:

The most common thing we do in our day to day life is eating (just taking a simple example). The basic principle involved behind it is 'Friction'. When we uphold the food, our hands apply frictional force so as to hold it and not allow it to slip. Similarly, while chewing, there is some kind of frictional force that is responsible for the proper chewing at our desired positions. Alternatively, just imagine the life without physics! We would hold the food to take it to the mouth but it would slip in between and may fall on our clothes. So funny but very serious!

I just find physics very interesting. It has many things yet to be discovered and it will last long. My viewpoint is that mathematics has been experimented and discovered so much that there is no more things to discover new. Some basic formulas and other key-points are the main theory for solving a question. All is that you have to apply your mental power to solve the tricky problems and make them in the format of the given formulas. Physics is somewhat different. Many things are yet to be discovered. Each and every question involves some new theory/facts.

I definitely love physics and my love would never end for that. I would also thank my teacher (we at Vidyamandir Classes, call them bhaiya) Rajeev Ranjan Kumar (B.Tech, IIT Guwahati) to generate a spark in me for physics.

JEE Preparation: A Long Term Game

No doubt, I am an aspirant for JEE but a thinker as well. At this stage of my life, when I am expected to appear for the exam, I casually turn around and think over my past and try to recall all the moments and get to a conclusion that this one is a big deal. A long-term game with a combination of hard labour and determination (which I surely lack J) results to the so what called JEE preparation. And the man having all these qualities qualifies it.

Just think over it, I am going to appear for the exam after a long study of 14yrs right from the LKG. During these 14yrs , even a single small mistake would make me ineligible for taking the exam. Remember, there are plenty of distractions available in the market which would easily deviate somebody, and I too faced all these things. But a duet of self control and good guardianship will surely save from all these cheap things.
